The CAPS Website - Training

We need committed volunteers to continue our community work. C.A.P.S. is looking for interested people to attend our volunteer training program.

Our core service is running the 24 hour Telephone Help line. We need to fill 1500 shifts a year! We won't run out of work for a while. We are also hoping to develop a team of support volunteers for fundraising.

Volunteers should be people who are available to give their time, and make an appropriate commitment to C.A.P.S. Empathy, patience & a desire to help are the main criteria.

The training courses will commence:

Early November 2007 from 10.00am until 1.00pm (approx).
February 2008 Evening or Weekend intensive depending on interest

Training is held at our Sydney office in Ashfield, the courses run for nine weeks.
